AFNOR, an official French certification organization, awarded C&K's manufacturing facility in Dole, France with ISO 50001 certification on December 17, 2015.

An international energy management system standard designed to help organizations save money, conserve resources, and address climate change, ISO 50001 provides a framework for: developing more energy efficient policies, defining objectives to meet said policies, employing data to better understand and utilize energy, measuring results, reviewing and revising policies, and continually improving upon energy management efforts.

Based on the management system model of improvement used for other well-known standards, such as ISO 90001, ISO 50001 makes it easy for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management. While optional, ISO 50001 energy management systems and certifications are enthusiastically supported by both the French government and European Union as an effective effort to limit the negative effects of climate change.
