Microminiature SMT top-actuated switches enable easy identification in complex systems
C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tactile, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, has developed a new series of microminiature SMT top-actuated switches. Designated the PTS810 Series, the microminiature switch has a 4.2 x 3.2mm footprint, 2.5mm height, and is ideal for control panels, nomad devices, remote controls, and keyless entry systems. Featuring color-coded actuators, the PTS810 Series provides easy identification for design engineers using multiple switches within a single system. In addition, the PTS810 Series switches deliver operational life spans up to 150,000 cycles.
The PTS810 Series is comprised of four unique switch designs with varying operating forces (gf) and life cycles. The PTS810 SJM 250 has a gray actuator, 160 +/- 50gf, and 150,000 cycles. The SJK has a white actuator, 260 +/- 70gf, and 50,000 cycles. The SJG has a blue actuator, 400 +/- 100gf, and 100,000 cycles. The SJS has a gray actuator, 600 +/- 150gf, and 150,000 cycles.
The PTS810 Series momentary action switches are equipped with J-type terminals for SMT use and a .15mm-.20mm +/- 0.1 mm travel. The RoHS compliant and halogen/lead free PTS810 Series switches are available with silver over nickel plate terminals and feature an operating temperature of -40°C to 85°C and a contact rating of 1mA @ 16VDC.
